Assess if the parts will need replaced (after you get the thing to power on, natch). Allow the entire board a good ten minutes dry time. Solder in two new fuses at the F1 and F2 points on either side, one per side. Clean the inside of the charge port as best you can with cleaner. I just ordered a set of these battery adapters to be made. Had a similar idea when I upgraded my DS4 battery since the light drained so much (before the dimmable update). I was debating the upgrade in the past but cringe at the thought of solder touching the gold contacts. I tore the battery apart and saw the cell mostly fit tight. gZQf.
