Hopefully I can read japanese and work my way in the menus, but it might not be your case. The nintendo switch will still be compatible with japanese games so you're not wasting cash, but still. Check the game's info before buying anything. 2. Where to buy your games. There are a lot of places to do that.
Nintendo's official line is that most existing Switch ($299.99 at Verizon) production occurs within China, but the Japanese company admits other manufacturing locations are being explored. It's
The cost to manufacture a Nintendo Switch is estimated to be about $260 according to PCMag. With an MSRP of $299 they make more money on the consoles than many manufactures do but it certainly isn’t a lot. Most of Nintendo’s money is made selling their exclusive games as well as all of the accessories for the console.

Don't think so. I bought a Japanese physical copy of Super Smash Bros Ultimate and the game started in English. I think the game adapts to your system settings and even if it doesn't I'm sure you can change it. shadyendless • 5 mo. ago. The game will be in the language of your Switch. If your Switch is in English, the game will be in English.

They aren't. Japanese games are crazy expensive. Just different titles are expensive there than the titles here. Shootem ups in Japan are by far more expensive for the most part. Games like marios and big name Nintendo games are cheaper cause they sold so many and there isn't a huge resurgence of young kids getting into the "cool" retro scene.

My gut feeling is that US and Japan sockets are different. So research it before you buy. They're not, at least not substantially. Half of Japan is on 50hz AC, while the rest is 60hz, but the plug shape is nigh-identical and voltage is close enough to be cross-compatible. Hayato213 11 months ago #10.

Yes. Hey I am also from Brazil and our currency is not that good, so you should be OK buying from other regions. What I like to do is look up the game and pay what I believe the developer deserves for it, stardew valley I bought in Brazilian store and would even buy in the American one because the dev really deserves it, while other games I will just buy on a sale being the cheaper option.
Perhaps there are English-speaking people who live in Japan and know if there are local stores that sell imported games.
