I have a early 2004 e60 530i. My iDrive is a very outdated and limited iDrive system. It's the one with the smaller screen pictured below. Currently my drive system works well for what it's intended. I have no complications with any of the features. I have Bluetooth capabilities, but are limited in what it can do and I have no navigation.
It may work or half work without coding. From a coding perspective the CCC is actually 5 control units: - CGATE - CTUNE - CHOST - CAUD - CAPPL All of these need to be default coded.
