The v8 2002 mustang had a bit more oomph than the e36 m3. But the handling is in no way comparable. Common problems are the radiator neck and water pump. They'll blow every 5-10 years or so; some people joke about replacing the radiator being a preventative maintenance issue. They're not joking.
